And then uh some interesting news from the [2:11] then uh some interesting news from the [2:11] then uh some interesting news from the research space with archive. Let's jump [2:14] research space with archive. Let's jump [2:14] research space with archive. Let's jump into it. [2:17] I'll say at the top of this story that [2:19] I'll say at the top of this story that we're really grateful for our uh early [2:22] we're really grateful for our uh early [2:22] we're really grateful for our uh early followers and uh and viewers and [2:25] followers and uh and viewers and [2:25] followers and uh and viewers and appreciate the feedback that we've [2:26] appreciate the feedback that we've [2:26] appreciate the feedback that we've gotten from our fans as we uh try to [2:29] gotten from our fans as we uh try to [2:29] gotten from our fans as we uh try to make this show a little bit better every [2:31] make this show a little bit better every [2:31] make this show a little bit better every single day. Jumping into the first [2:33] single day. Jumping into the first [2:33] single day. Jumping into the first story, California Attorney General uh [2:35] story, California Attorney General uh [2:36] story, California Attorney General uh Rob Ba said Thursday he served OpenAI [2:39] Rob Ba said Thursday he served OpenAI [2:39] Rob Ba said Thursday he served OpenAI with an investigative subpoena over [2:41] with an investigative subpoena over [2:41] with an investigative subpoena over cyber security incidents and risks [2:43] cyber security incidents and risks [2:43] cyber security incidents and risks involving the company and its models. Uh [2:46] involving the company and its models. Uh [2:46] involving the company and its models. Uh it builds on his investigation into open [2:50] it builds on his investigation into open [2:50] it builds on his investigation into open AI agents breaching hugging phase. Bont [2:53] AI agents breaching hugging phase. Bont [2:53] AI agents breaching hugging phase. Bont said, "AI makers have a quote unquote [2:56] said, "AI makers have a quote unquote [2:56] said, "AI makers have a quote unquote moral and legal responsibility to make [2:58] moral and legal responsibility to make [2:58] moral and legal responsibility to make sure their models don't penetrate or [3:01] sure their models don't penetrate or [3:01] sure their models don't penetrate or enable [3:03] enable [3:03] enable cyber attacks." [3:05] cyber attacks." [3:05] cyber attacks." Wow. Okay. So, uh, the the attorney [3:08] Wow. Okay. So, uh, the the attorney [3:08] Wow. Okay. So, uh, the the attorney general of California trying to, uh, [3:11] general of California trying to, uh, [3:11] general of California trying to, uh, slap OpenAI with, um, maybe this is this [3:15] slap OpenAI with, um, maybe this is this [3:15] slap OpenAI with, um, maybe this is this doesn't mean anything for certain, but, [3:17] doesn't mean anything for certain, but, [3:17] doesn't mean anything for certain, but, uh, trying to bring a a legal framework [3:19] uh, trying to bring a a legal framework [3:19] uh, trying to bring a a legal framework in here to see if, uh, maybe there is [3:22] in here to see if, uh, maybe there is [3:22] in here to see if, uh, maybe there is some some action to move against. This [3:23] some some action to move against. This [3:24] some some action to move against. This is coming on the heels of um an Austin [3:26] is coming on the heels of um an Austin [3:26] is coming on the heels of um an Austin Wilson show reported story earlier this [3:28] Wilson show reported story earlier this [3:28] Wilson show reported story earlier this week around OpenAI's uh most uh most [3:32] week around OpenAI's uh most uh most [3:32] week around OpenAI's uh most uh most current incident involving agents that [3:36] current incident involving agents that [3:36] current incident involving agents that went and surfed the web went and checked [3:37] went and surfed the web went and checked [3:37] went and surfed the web went and checked out 55 websites um that was kind of [3:40] out 55 websites um that was kind of [3:40] out 55 websites um that was kind of outside of their purview. Um California [3:43] outside of their purview. Um California [3:43] outside of their purview. Um California says that AI developers can be held [3:46] says that AI developers can be held [3:46] says that AI developers can be held legally accountable when their models [3:47] legally accountable when their models [3:47] legally accountable when their models carry out or enable cyber attacks. um an [3:52] carry out or enable cyber attacks. um an [3:52] carry out or enable cyber attacks. um an investigative subpoena served on Open [3:54] investigative subpoena served on Open [3:54] investigative subpoena served on Open AI. Uh building on the hugging face [3:56] AI. Uh building on the hugging face [3:56] AI. Uh building on the hugging face breach probe. Uh it does not mean uh [4:00] breach probe. Uh it does not mean uh [4:00] breach probe. Uh it does not mean uh that charges are being brought against [4:02] that charges are being brought against [4:02] that charges are being brought against Open AI, just that they're investigating [4:05] Open AI, just that they're investigating [4:05] Open AI, just that they're investigating what's going on here. Well, this is kind [4:09] what's going on here. Well, this is kind [4:09] what's going on here. Well, this is kind of an interesting story. we've, you [4:11] of an interesting story. we've, you [4:11] of an interesting story. we've, you know, talked in and or around this [4:14] know, talked in and or around this [4:14] know, talked in and or around this subject for uh the life of this program [4:18] subject for uh the life of this program [4:18] subject for uh the life of this program and I'm sure we will continue to talk [4:20] and I'm sure we will continue to talk [4:20] and I'm sure we will continue to talk about this uh in terms of the the legal [4:24] about this uh in terms of the the legal [4:24] about this uh in terms of the the legal implications or ramifications around uh [4:26] implications or ramifications around uh [4:26] implications or ramifications around uh security events related to um AI models [4:31] security events related to um AI models [4:31] security events related to um AI models or super intelligent models. Uh and [4:34] or super intelligent models. Uh and [4:34] or super intelligent models. Uh and specifically it seems like OpenAI is is [4:36] specifically it seems like OpenAI is is [4:36] specifically it seems like OpenAI is is the group that is leading this has most [4:39] the group that is leading this has most [4:39] the group that is leading this has most of the incidents and gets in the most [4:42] of the incidents and gets in the most [4:42] of the incidents and gets in the most trouble for this stuff. Um we'll see if [4:45] trouble for this stuff. Um we'll see if [4:45] trouble for this stuff. Um we'll see if that continues or that trend changes. Um [4:49] that continues or that trend changes. Um [4:49] that continues or that trend changes. Um why is this important? Well um number [4:51] why is this important? Well um number [4:52] why is this important? Well um number one I think again we come back to the [4:53] one I think again we come back to the [4:53] one I think again we come back to the fact that it's good to see that there's [4:56] fact that it's good to see that there's [4:56] fact that it's good to see that there's accountability. Now uh this might be a [4:58] accountability. Now uh this might be a [4:58] accountability. Now uh this might be a little bit redundant. Um, every US [5:01] little bit redundant. Um, every US [5:01] little bit redundant. Um, every US company is uh currently held accountable [5:05] company is uh currently held accountable [5:05] company is uh currently held accountable for uh what their products produce and [5:10] for uh what their products produce and [5:10] for uh what their products produce and the impact um really negative in impact [5:13] the impact um really negative in impact [5:13] the impact um really negative in impact that their products would have on um uh [5:17] that their products would have on um uh [5:17] that their products would have on um uh American individuals. Um and I think [5:22] American individuals. Um and I think [5:22] American individuals. Um and I think probably global jurisdictions would uh [5:25] probably global jurisdictions would uh [5:25] probably global jurisdictions would uh prosecute open AI on the same grounds if [5:27] prosecute open AI on the same grounds if [5:27] prosecute open AI on the same grounds if their technology did harm uh harm u [5:30] their technology did harm uh harm u [5:30] their technology did harm uh harm u people and they could prove it. I think [5:32] people and they could prove it. I think [5:32] people and they could prove it. I think the interesting thing here is the [5:33] the interesting thing here is the [5:33] the interesting thing here is the investigative portion. So, you know, [5:35] investigative portion. So, you know, [5:35] investigative portion. So, you know, part of the problem with these models [5:38] part of the problem with these models [5:38] part of the problem with these models and with OpenAI and spec specifically um [5:41] and with OpenAI and spec specifically um [5:41] and with OpenAI and spec specifically um as it seems is uh they don't appear to [5:45] as it seems is uh they don't appear to [5:45] as it seems is uh they don't appear to be tracking the actions of the models [5:47] be tracking the actions of the models [5:48] be tracking the actions of the models very closely. Just to recap what [5:50] very closely. Just to recap what [5:50] very closely. Just to recap what happened in July, there was a a breakout [5:54] happened in July, there was a a breakout [5:54] happened in July, there was a a breakout of rogue AI agents at Open AI. Um [5:58] of rogue AI agents at Open AI. Um [5:58] of rogue AI agents at Open AI. Um essentially what happened was Open AAI [6:01] essentially what happened was Open AAI [6:01] essentially what happened was Open AAI was doing research and they continually [6:03] was doing research and they continually [6:03] was doing research and they continually do this. They were doing research to see [6:05] do this. They were doing research to see [6:05] do this. They were doing research to see the capabilities of these agents. And [6:08] the capabilities of these agents. And [6:08] the capabilities of these agents. And what they did, it was a really [6:09] what they did, it was a really [6:09] what they did, it was a really interesting kind of clever test, but [6:11] interesting kind of clever test, but [6:11] interesting kind of clever test, but they gave the agents essentially an [6:14] they gave the agents essentially an [6:14] they gave the agents essentially an impossible task. Uh go complete this [6:17] impossible task. Uh go complete this [6:17] impossible task. Uh go complete this impossible task uh at any means you can [6:21] impossible task uh at any means you can [6:21] impossible task uh at any means you can figure out how to get this job done [6:23] figure out how to get this job done [6:23] figure out how to get this job done knowing that the task was absolutely [6:25] knowing that the task was absolutely [6:25] knowing that the task was absolutely impossible. [6:28] impossible. [6:28] impossible. What that ended up doing was causing the [6:30] What that ended up doing was causing the [6:30] What that ended up doing was causing the agents to um really push the limits on [6:35] agents to um really push the limits on [6:35] agents to um really push the limits on their capabilities, their coordination, [6:38] their capabilities, their coordination, [6:38] their capabilities, their coordination, uh their creativity, which is really [6:41] uh their creativity, which is really [6:41] uh their creativity, which is really interesting from an artificial or super [6:43] interesting from an artificial or super [6:43] interesting from an artificial or super intelligence perspective to observe [6:44] intelligence perspective to observe [6:44] intelligence perspective to observe that. Uh the problem with that or maybe [6:47] that. Uh the problem with that or maybe [6:47] that. Uh the problem with that or maybe the expected solution is that unexpected [6:51] the expected solution is that unexpected [6:51] the expected solution is that unexpected things would would happen. Um the the [6:53] things would would happen. Um the the [6:53] things would would happen. Um the the the problem herein is that um OpenAI [6:57] the problem herein is that um OpenAI [6:57] the problem herein is that um OpenAI was not as it appears was not uh [7:01] was not as it appears was not uh [7:01] was not as it appears was not uh continuously monitoring [7:03] continuously monitoring [7:03] continuously monitoring uh this situation or um [7:07] uh this situation or um [7:07] uh this situation or um really paid an attention to what the [7:09] really paid an attention to what the [7:09] really paid an attention to what the agents were doing. This led to the [7:11] agents were doing. This led to the [7:11] agents were doing. This led to the agents breaking out getting into the [7:13] agents breaking out getting into the [7:13] agents breaking out getting into the open web. Um they found uh API keys [7:18] open web. Um they found uh API keys [7:18] open web. Um they found uh API keys which are essentially security codes um [7:21] which are essentially security codes um [7:21] which are essentially security codes um that in forward to today um why is this [7:24] that in forward to today um why is this [7:24] that in forward to today um why is this subpoena important? Why might it might [7:26] subpoena important? Why might it might [7:26] subpoena important? Why might it might it be interesting is that uh the the [7:30] it be interesting is that uh the the [7:30] it be interesting is that uh the the public or outsiders from open AAI don't [7:33] public or outsiders from open AAI don't [7:33] public or outsiders from open AAI don't specifically and maybe Open AI to some [7:34] specifically and maybe Open AI to some [7:34] specifically and maybe Open AI to some extent do not specifically know uh what [7:39] extent do not specifically know uh what [7:39] extent do not specifically know uh what happened each step along the way in both [7:41] happened each step along the way in both [7:41] happened each step along the way in both that hugging face incident and the most [7:43] that hugging face incident and the most [7:43] that hugging face incident and the most recent incident where the agents broke [7:45] recent incident where the agents broke [7:45] recent incident where the agents broke out and surfed the web. um the [7:49] out and surfed the web. um the [7:49] out and surfed the web. um the not knowing what the agents did each [7:51] not knowing what the agents did each [7:51] not knowing what the agents did each step of the way could be concerning or [7:53] step of the way could be concerning or [7:54] step of the way could be concerning or or really it just makes it harder to [7:55] or really it just makes it harder to [7:55] or really it just makes it harder to prevent this in the future if we don't [7:57] prevent this in the future if we don't [7:57] prevent this in the future if we don't know exactly what happened. Um, that [8:00] know exactly what happened. Um, that [8:00] know exactly what happened. Um, that being said, the subpoena is interesting [8:02] being said, the subpoena is interesting [8:02] being said, the subpoena is interesting because potentially the state of [8:04] because potentially the state of [8:04] because potentially the state of California would um require or or um u [8:10] California would um require or or um u [8:10] California would um require or or um u you know essentially force open AI to [8:13] you know essentially force open AI to [8:13] you know essentially force open AI to make those uh trace logs [8:17] make those uh trace logs [8:17] make those uh trace logs uh public and we would understand what [8:20] uh public and we would understand what [8:20] uh public and we would understand what happened each step of the way. Um, [8:22] happened each step of the way. Um, [8:22] happened each step of the way. Um, altogether that kind of information [8:24] altogether that kind of information [8:24] altogether that kind of information would be powerful and extremely helpful [8:26] would be powerful and extremely helpful [8:26] would be powerful and extremely helpful for the industry as a whole as we could [8:29] for the industry as a whole as we could [8:29] for the industry as a whole as we could all learn what these agents do kind of [8:32] all learn what these agents do kind of [8:32] all learn what these agents do kind of at the extreme level of their [8:33] at the extreme level of their [8:33] at the extreme level of their capabilities and understand how to [8:36] capabilities and understand how to [8:36] capabilities and understand how to protect against that. Um, really [8:38] protect against that. Um, really [8:38] protect against that. Um, really interesting stuff. Will this go [8:40] interesting stuff. Will this go [8:40] interesting stuff. Will this go anywhere? I don't know. But it but it is [8:42] anywhere? I don't know. But it but it is [8:42] anywhere? I don't know. But it but it is I you know again I like to see uh you [8:47] I you know again I like to see uh you [8:47] I you know again I like to see uh you know there there's a give and take [8:49] know there there's a give and take [8:49] know there there's a give and take relationship here. Um it seems that uh [8:53] relationship here. Um it seems that uh [8:53] relationship here. Um it seems that uh OpenAI probably needs to get their act [8:55] OpenAI probably needs to get their act [8:55] OpenAI probably needs to get their act together a little bit more as they [8:56] together a little bit more as they [8:56] together a little bit more as they continually have these incidents. Uh but [8:59] continually have these incidents. Uh but [8:59] continually have these incidents. Uh but there are they are being held [9:01] there are they are being held [9:02] there are they are being held accountable which is is good to see and [9:05] accountable which is is good to see and [9:05] accountable which is is good to see and um I think we can all appreciate that. [9:07] um I think we can all appreciate that. [9:07] um I think we can all appreciate that. Moving on to the next story. Uh [9:08] Moving on to the next story. Uh [9:08] Moving on to the next story. Uh Bloomberg reported Thursday that [9:11] Bloomberg reported Thursday that [9:11] Bloomberg reported Thursday that Anthropic could start marketing its IPO [9:15] Anthropic could start marketing its IPO [9:16] Anthropic could start marketing its IPO uh the week of November 9th. So, we're [9:19] uh the week of November 9th. So, we're [9:19] uh the week of November 9th. So, we're maybe potentially about a month out from [9:21] maybe potentially about a month out from [9:22] maybe potentially about a month out from Anthropic [9:23] Anthropic [9:23] Anthropic um beginning to [9:26] um beginning to [9:26] um beginning to market uh their public offering uh with [9:29] market uh their public offering uh with [9:29] market uh their public offering uh with trading possible before Thanksgiving. [9:31] trading possible before Thanksgiving. [9:31] trading possible before Thanksgiving. Bloomberg also reports uh an investor [9:34] Bloomberg also reports uh an investor [9:34] Bloomberg also reports uh an investor day at its San Francisco headquarters on [9:36] day at its San Francisco headquarters on [9:36] day at its San Francisco headquarters on October 14th. So, that's coming up in a [9:39] October 14th. So, that's coming up in a [9:39] October 14th. So, that's coming up in a couple weeks. Uh prospective investors [9:42] couple weeks. Uh prospective investors [9:42] couple weeks. Uh prospective investors reportedly see it worth $1.8 to $2 [9:46] reportedly see it worth $1.8 to $2 [9:46] reportedly see it worth $1.8 to $2 trillion. uh a uh an astounding number [9:51] trillion. uh a uh an astounding number [9:51] trillion. uh a uh an astounding number for an initial public offering. Um at [9:54] for an initial public offering. Um at [9:54] for an initial public offering. Um at that size, it would be the largest IPO [9:57] that size, it would be the largest IPO [9:57] that size, it would be the largest IPO ever and the first time uh that public [10:00] ever and the first time uh that public [10:00] ever and the first time uh that public markets put a price on a Frontier AI [10:04] markets put a price on a Frontier AI [10:04] markets put a price on a Frontier AI lab. Uh Anthropic is aiming to list as [10:07] lab. Uh Anthropic is aiming to list as [10:07] lab. Uh Anthropic is aiming to list as early as mid November at a valuation of [10:11] early as mid November at a valuation of [10:11] early as mid November at a valuation of uh up to $2 trillion. Um Bloomberg's [10:13] uh up to $2 trillion. Um Bloomberg's [10:14] uh up to $2 trillion. Um Bloomberg's sources describe uh the the early [10:16] sources describe uh the the early [10:16] sources describe uh the the early marketing event in in early November as [10:19] marketing event in in early November as [10:19] marketing event in in early November as well as investor days in October. Uh the [10:22] well as investor days in October. Uh the [10:22] well as investor days in October. Uh the leaked perspectus showed that uh $4.6 [10:26] leaked perspectus showed that uh $4.6 [10:26] leaked perspectus showed that uh $4.6 billion in revenue in 2025, nearly $42 [10:29] billion in revenue in 2025, nearly $42 [10:30] billion in revenue in 2025, nearly $42 billion in net losses. Of course, those [10:31] billion in net losses. Of course, those [10:31] billion in net losses. Of course, those are 2025 numbers. 2026 uh it's estimated [10:37] are 2025 numbers. 2026 uh it's estimated [10:37] are 2025 numbers. 2026 uh it's estimated that Anthropic would be targeting [10:39] that Anthropic would be targeting [10:39] that Anthropic would be targeting towards a hundred billion dollars in [10:42] towards a hundred billion dollars in [10:42] towards a hundred billion dollars in revenue in 2026. [10:44] revenue in 2026. [10:44] revenue in 2026. Um this is a uh would be a monumental uh [10:51] Um this is a uh would be a monumental uh [10:51] Um this is a uh would be a monumental uh IPO. Um really interesting [10:56] IPO. Um really interesting [10:56] IPO. Um really interesting fact that somebody put together. Um, I [10:59] fact that somebody put together. Um, I [10:59] fact that somebody put together. Um, I think maybe in the history of the S&P [11:01] think maybe in the history of the S&P [11:01] think maybe in the history of the S&P 500 or uh NASDAQ or something I I I I [11:05] 500 or uh NASDAQ or something I I I I [11:06] 500 or uh NASDAQ or something I I I I don't know the exact context, but all [11:08] don't know the exact context, but all [11:08] don't know the exact context, but all IPOs [11:10] IPOs [11:10] IPOs up to and through 2025 [11:13] up to and through 2025 [11:13] up to and through 2025 uh in aggregate were somewhere around $4 [11:17] uh in aggregate were somewhere around $4 [11:17] uh in aggregate were somewhere around $4 trillion [11:19] trillion [11:19] trillion uh at uh initial offering, right? Uh [11:23] uh at uh initial offering, right? Uh [11:23] uh at uh initial offering, right? Uh those are nominal values, not adjusted [11:25] those are nominal values, not adjusted [11:25] those are nominal values, not adjusted for inflation, but $4 trillion in [11:28] for inflation, but $4 trillion in [11:28] for inflation, but $4 trillion in absolute dollars in IPO value uh in the [11:32] absolute dollars in IPO value uh in the [11:32] absolute dollars in IPO value uh in the history of of the market. 2026. Um, it [11:36] history of of the market. 2026. Um, it [11:36] history of of the market. 2026. Um, it doesn't look like Open AI is going to go [11:39] doesn't look like Open AI is going to go [11:40] doesn't look like Open AI is going to go public, but should OpenAI go public in [11:43] public, but should OpenAI go public in [11:43] public, but should OpenAI go public in early 2027, between OpenAI, Anthropic, [11:47] early 2027, between OpenAI, Anthropic, [11:47] early 2027, between OpenAI, Anthropic, and SpaceX AI, the aggregate value of [11:50] and SpaceX AI, the aggregate value of [11:50] and SpaceX AI, the aggregate value of those IPOs would be greater than all [11:53] those IPOs would be greater than all [11:53] those IPOs would be greater than all IPOs up to this point. Uh, point being, [11:57] IPOs up to this point. Uh, point being, [11:57] IPOs up to this point. Uh, point being, crazy times, just crazy numbers. It's [11:59] crazy times, just crazy numbers. It's [12:00] crazy times, just crazy numbers. It's really hard to wrap your head around. I [12:02] really hard to wrap your head around. I [12:02] really hard to wrap your head around. I I I mean uh even that earlier number [12:05] I I mean uh even that earlier number [12:05] I I mean uh even that earlier number four something billion in revenue in [12:07] four something billion in revenue in [12:07] four something billion in revenue in 2026 against $42 billion in losses. And [12:11] 2026 against $42 billion in losses. And [12:11] 2026 against $42 billion in losses. And then to scale from uh that that $4 [12:14] then to scale from uh that that $4 [12:14] then to scale from uh that that $4 billion number to $100 billion [12:18] billion number to $100 billion [12:18] billion number to $100 billion potentially in less than a year is uh [12:22] potentially in less than a year is uh [12:22] potentially in less than a year is uh astounding, phenomenal. And if nothing [12:25] astounding, phenomenal. And if nothing [12:25] astounding, phenomenal. And if nothing else, it it tells you the impact that AI [12:29] else, it it tells you the impact that AI [12:29] else, it it tells you the impact that AI is having on uh the US economy, the [12:33] is having on uh the US economy, the [12:33] is having on uh the US economy, the global economy. You you don't see those [12:35] global economy. You you don't see those [12:36] global economy. You you don't see those kind of numbers uh unless uh there is a [12:40] kind of numbers uh unless uh there is a [12:40] kind of numbers uh unless uh there is a real measurable impact. um [12:44] real measurable impact. um [12:44] real measurable impact. um there's not a lot of historical [12:45] there's not a lot of historical [12:45] there's not a lot of historical significance or or um support to suggest [12:49] significance or or um support to suggest [12:49] significance or or um support to suggest that uh companies and people spend that [12:51] that uh companies and people spend that [12:51] that uh companies and people spend that kind of money for no reason, right? Um [12:55] kind of money for no reason, right? Um [12:55] kind of money for no reason, right? Um this is like a just a really really big [12:58] this is like a just a really really big [12:58] this is like a just a really really big deal. It's exciting to see. It's [13:01] deal. It's exciting to see. It's [13:01] deal. It's exciting to see. It's important, you know, both from that [13:02] important, you know, both from that [13:02] important, you know, both from that economic standpoint, but also u with [13:05] economic standpoint, but also u with [13:05] economic standpoint, but also u with Anthropic going public, we'll get to see [13:08] Anthropic going public, we'll get to see [13:08] Anthropic going public, we'll get to see um a little bit behind the curtains of [13:11] um a little bit behind the curtains of [13:11] um a little bit behind the curtains of uh how they operate their business, the [13:13] uh how they operate their business, the [13:13] uh how they operate their business, the the finances, the the more specifics on [13:16] the finances, the the more specifics on [13:16] the finances, the the more specifics on the financials and understanding uh the [13:19] the financials and understanding uh the [13:19] the financials and understanding uh the the business strategy and um uh kind of [13:24] the business strategy and um uh kind of [13:24] the business strategy and um uh kind of the economics within uh which will have [13:27] the economics within uh which will have [13:27] the economics within uh which will have a big impact on the the um AI economy [13:30] a big impact on the the um AI economy [13:30] a big impact on the the um AI economy and and AI businesses moving forward and [13:32] and and AI businesses moving forward and [13:32] and and AI businesses moving forward and understanding are these businesses [13:34] understanding are these businesses [13:34] understanding are these businesses profitable? Is there a pathway to [13:36] profitable? Is there a pathway to [13:36] profitable? Is there a pathway to profitability? Um what kind of actual [13:39] profitability? Um what kind of actual [13:39] profitability? Um what kind of actual tangible impact are these businesses [13:41] tangible impact are these businesses [13:41] tangible impact are these businesses having on the economy and and Anthropic [13:44] having on the economy and and Anthropic [13:44] having on the economy and and Anthropic is is uh kind of the biggest and most [13:46] is is uh kind of the biggest and most [13:46] is is uh kind of the biggest and most important AI company right now. which is [13:51] important AI company right now. which is [13:51] important AI company right now. which is um crazy to think that a year ago uh [13:54] um crazy to think that a year ago uh [13:54] um crazy to think that a year ago uh Anthropic um you know was [13:59] Anthropic um you know was [13:59] Anthropic um you know was hadn't really caught on quite yet that [14:02] hadn't really caught on quite yet that [14:02] hadn't really caught on quite yet that Anthropic had developed a a really [14:05] Anthropic had developed a a really [14:05] Anthropic had developed a a really really phenomenal product. Um but they [14:07] really phenomenal product. Um but they [14:07] really phenomenal product. Um but they have and they continue to push it. Um, [14:09] have and they continue to push it. Um, [14:09] have and they continue to push it. Um, you know, the other question that that [14:11] you know, the other question that that [14:11] you know, the other question that that comes up too is are investors going to [14:13] comes up too is are investors going to [14:13] comes up too is are investors going to be willing to buy a company that uh [14:17] be willing to buy a company that uh [14:17] be willing to buy a company that uh warns against, [14:19] warns against, [14:19] warns against, you know, possible existential threat, [14:21] you know, possible existential threat, [14:21] you know, possible existential threat, right? Um [14:23] right? Um [14:23] right? Um we we've talked about kind of this [14:25] we we've talked about kind of this [14:25] we we've talked about kind of this contrast where um open AI or or rather [14:29] contrast where um open AI or or rather [14:29] contrast where um open AI or or rather anthropic kind of speaks out of both [14:31] anthropic kind of speaks out of both [14:31] anthropic kind of speaks out of both sides of the mouth where you know the [14:33] sides of the mouth where you know the [14:34] sides of the mouth where you know the the risk and the threat associated with [14:37] the risk and the threat associated with [14:37] the risk and the threat associated with uh super intelligence and this advanced [14:39] uh super intelligence and this advanced [14:39] uh super intelligence and this advanced technology [14:41] technology [14:41] technology uh is is very very dangerous and you [14:44] uh is is very very dangerous and you [14:44] uh is is very very dangerous and you know we got to look out for things but [14:46] know we got to look out for things but [14:46] know we got to look out for things but also we're building it you know so it it [14:49] also we're building it you know so it it [14:49] also we're building it you know so it it it's it'll be interesting to see how [14:50] it's it'll be interesting to see how [14:50] it's it'll be interesting to see how investors react to that um also like [14:53] investors react to that um also like [14:53] investors react to that um also like after [14:55] after [14:55] after uh the SpaceX AI IPO, several other IPOs [15:00] uh the SpaceX AI IPO, several other IPOs [15:00] uh the SpaceX AI IPO, several other IPOs this year, several uh mergers and uh [15:03] this year, several uh mergers and uh [15:03] this year, several uh mergers and uh acquisitions, uh lots of economic [15:06] acquisitions, uh lots of economic [15:06] acquisitions, uh lots of economic activity this year. Are investors [15:08] activity this year. Are investors [15:08] activity this year. Are investors exhausted yet? Do they still have the [15:11] exhausted yet? Do they still have the [15:11] exhausted yet? Do they still have the the fortitude to go buy more AI? Um [15:16] the fortitude to go buy more AI? Um [15:16] the fortitude to go buy more AI? Um we'll see. Um and then lastly, the maybe [15:18] we'll see. Um and then lastly, the maybe [15:18] we'll see. Um and then lastly, the maybe the the last but potentially most [15:20] the the last but potentially most [15:20] the the last but potentially most important impact is again uh it's [15:23] important impact is again uh it's [15:23] important impact is again uh it's reported Anthropic is targeting [15:26] reported Anthropic is targeting [15:26] reported Anthropic is targeting uh over a half a trillion dollars in [15:29] uh over a half a trillion dollars in [15:30] uh over a half a trillion dollars in investment uh in in compute spend uh to [15:34] investment uh in in compute spend uh to [15:34] investment uh in in compute spend uh to continue to grow their business which [15:36] continue to grow their business which [15:36] continue to grow their business which they just these are astronomical numbers [15:39] they just these are astronomical numbers [15:39] they just these are astronomical numbers and uh it's amazing to see. We'll [15:41] and uh it's amazing to see. We'll [15:41] and uh it's amazing to see. We'll continue to track this story as it [15:43] continue to track this story as it [15:43] continue to track this story as it develops. Um, and excited to see what [15:47] develops. Um, and excited to see what [15:47] develops. Um, and excited to see what this has in store for us. Um, moving on, [15:51] this has in store for us. Um, moving on, [15:51] this has in store for us. Um, moving on, the Financial Times reports 10 cent [15:54] the Financial Times reports 10 cent [15:54] the Financial Times reports 10 cent signed a 5-year deal worth about $7 [15:56] signed a 5-year deal worth about $7 [15:56] signed a 5-year deal worth about $7 billion [15:58] billion [15:58] billion to roughly uh uh to to use roughly [16:02] to roughly uh uh to to use roughly [16:02] to roughly uh uh to to use roughly $100,000 or 100,000 advanced AI chips in [16:06] $100,000 or 100,000 advanced AI chips in [16:06] $100,000 or 100,000 advanced AI chips in Oracle data centers in Southeast Asia. [16:09] Oracle data centers in Southeast Asia. [16:09] Oracle data centers in Southeast Asia. Um the the US has barred China from [16:13] Um the the US has barred China from [16:13] Um the the US has barred China from using advanced chips or buying advanced [16:16] using advanced chips or buying advanced [16:16] using advanced chips or buying advanced chips from American companies. Uh but [16:19] chips from American companies. Uh but [16:19] chips from American companies. Uh but the question here is does that prevent [16:21] the question here is does that prevent [16:21] the question here is does that prevent them from leasing or renting these chips [16:25] them from leasing or renting these chips [16:25] them from leasing or renting these chips in offshore data centers? Um we'll find [16:29] in offshore data centers? Um we'll find [16:29] in offshore data centers? Um we'll find out. This is a reported story. Uh 10 [16:33] out. This is a reported story. Uh 10 [16:33] out. This is a reported story. Uh 10 cent nor Oracle have um uh confirmed [16:37] cent nor Oracle have um uh confirmed [16:37] cent nor Oracle have um uh confirmed this. So, so we'll uh continue to track [16:40] this. So, so we'll uh continue to track [16:40] this. So, so we'll uh continue to track and see how this develops. This is um [16:43] and see how this develops. This is um [16:44] and see how this develops. This is um interesting as um Oracle [16:49] interesting as um Oracle [16:49] interesting as um Oracle um has kind of had a an amazing run over [16:52] um has kind of had a an amazing run over [16:52] um has kind of had a an amazing run over the past couple years being a big backer [16:56] the past couple years being a big backer [16:56] the past couple years being a big backer and a big supporter of uh the um the [17:00] and a big supporter of uh the um the [17:00] and a big supporter of uh the um the buildout of data centers and the compute [17:03] buildout of data centers and the compute [17:03] buildout of data centers and the compute required to run these AI models. Um what [17:07] required to run these AI models. Um what [17:07] required to run these AI models. Um what does what does this mean in context uh [17:11] does what does this mean in context uh [17:11] does what does this mean in context uh or or really to just get down in the [17:12] or or really to just get down in the [17:12] or or really to just get down in the nittygritty? Um Oracle traditionally is [17:16] nittygritty? Um Oracle traditionally is [17:16] nittygritty? Um Oracle traditionally is a database provider. Um they provide the [17:20] a database provider. Um they provide the [17:20] a database provider. Um they provide the a lot of the uh hardware and uh servers [17:25] a lot of the uh hardware and uh servers [17:25] a lot of the uh hardware and uh servers for businesses to operate their [17:28] for businesses to operate their [17:28] for businesses to operate their businesses. They've been a a stalworth [17:30] businesses. They've been a a stalworth [17:30] businesses. They've been a a stalworth in the business community for um I think [17:35] in the business community for um I think [17:35] in the business community for um I think nearly 50 years um and and have been [17:39] nearly 50 years um and and have been [17:39] nearly 50 years um and and have been extremely successful in in doing so and [17:42] extremely successful in in doing so and [17:42] extremely successful in in doing so and and pivoted through a lot of different [17:43] and pivoted through a lot of different [17:43] and pivoted through a lot of different cycles. Their main business is [17:45] cycles. Their main business is [17:46] cycles. Their main business is essentially hey we sell um uh these [17:50] essentially hey we sell um uh these [17:50] essentially hey we sell um uh these servers in data centers for businesses [17:53] servers in data centers for businesses [17:53] servers in data centers for businesses to host and and run and operate their [17:56] to host and and run and operate their [17:56] to host and and run and operate their businesses on. Right. Um, fast forward [17:59] businesses on. Right. Um, fast forward [17:59] businesses on. Right. Um, fast forward to a couple years ago, uh, AI blow up. [18:04] to a couple years ago, uh, AI blow up. [18:04] to a couple years ago, uh, AI blow up. Um, we need more data centers. [18:07] Um, we need more data centers. [18:07] Um, we need more data centers. Obviously, we need more servers running [18:10] Obviously, we need more servers running [18:10] Obviously, we need more servers running AI compute. Um, and powering these AI [18:14] AI compute. Um, and powering these AI [18:14] AI compute. Um, and powering these AI systems, which is a different uh, use [18:17] systems, which is a different uh, use [18:17] systems, which is a different uh, use case than just normal business [18:19] case than just normal business [18:19] case than just normal business operations or or database or kind of [18:22] operations or or database or kind of [18:22] operations or or database or kind of normal uh, data storage. um Oracle was a [18:27] normal uh, data storage. um Oracle was a [18:27] normal uh, data storage. um Oracle was a big part of helping finance uh this [18:30] big part of helping finance uh this [18:30] big part of helping finance uh this effort um and partnering with OpenAI and [18:33] effort um and partnering with OpenAI and [18:33] effort um and partnering with OpenAI and others to go um um build and plan to [18:37] others to go um um build and plan to [18:37] others to go um um build and plan to build uh these solutions. And so that's [18:41] build uh these solutions. And so that's [18:41] build uh these solutions. And so that's why this is really important um uh is [18:45] why this is really important um uh is [18:45] why this is really important um uh is Oracle has been kind of leading the way [18:47] Oracle has been kind of leading the way [18:47] Oracle has been kind of leading the way from the physical hardware standpoint [18:50] from the physical hardware standpoint [18:50] from the physical hardware standpoint whereas you've got the open AAI or the [18:52] whereas you've got the open AAI or the [18:52] whereas you've got the open AAI or the anthropic um uh claude chat GBT u [18:57] anthropic um uh claude chat GBT u [18:57] anthropic um uh claude chat GBT u managing the and building the the [19:00] managing the and building the the [19:00] managing the and building the the technology or the intelligence the [19:02] technology or the intelligence the [19:02] technology or the intelligence the software portion you've got the oracles [19:04] software portion you've got the oracles [19:04] software portion you've got the oracles of the world building the the hardware [19:06] of the world building the the hardware [19:06] of the world building the the hardware portion to run that on Um [19:10] portion to run that on Um [19:10] portion to run that on Um this is uh interesting and of course [19:13] this is uh interesting and of course [19:13] this is uh interesting and of course we're going to see um what comes out of [19:16] we're going to see um what comes out of [19:16] we're going to see um what comes out of this if there is a lot of truth to this. [19:19] this if there is a lot of truth to this. [19:19] this if there is a lot of truth to this. Sometimes these stories break ahead of [19:22] Sometimes these stories break ahead of [19:22] Sometimes these stories break ahead of time and um before they're actually [19:25] time and um before they're actually [19:25] time and um before they're actually confirmed uh and then the companies get [19:28] confirmed uh and then the companies get [19:28] confirmed uh and then the companies get backlash or uh realize hey maybe this is [19:31] backlash or uh realize hey maybe this is [19:31] backlash or uh realize hey maybe this is not a great idea and they they um they [19:34] not a great idea and they they um they [19:34] not a great idea and they they um they back down from that. So, it'll be [19:35] back down from that. So, it'll be [19:36] back down from that. So, it'll be interesting to see if this actually goes [19:37] interesting to see if this actually goes [19:37] interesting to see if this actually goes into effect. This is important on a [19:39] into effect. This is important on a [19:40] into effect. This is important on a number of different levels. Um, [19:41] number of different levels. Um, [19:41] number of different levels. Um, strategically, the US has blocked um [19:45] strategically, the US has blocked um [19:45] strategically, the US has blocked um Chinese companies and and and China [19:47] Chinese companies and and and China [19:47] Chinese companies and and and China itself from buying advanced AI chips or [19:51] itself from buying advanced AI chips or [19:51] itself from buying advanced AI chips or using advanced AI hardware. Um and um uh [19:58] using advanced AI hardware. Um and um uh [19:58] using advanced AI hardware. Um and um uh a deal like this where Oracle would be [20:00] a deal like this where Oracle would be [20:00] a deal like this where Oracle would be renting AI chips or AI hardware to a [20:03] renting AI chips or AI hardware to a [20:03] renting AI chips or AI hardware to a Chinese company obviously has [20:06] Chinese company obviously has [20:06] Chinese company obviously has substantial um implications there. Uh [20:09] substantial um implications there. Uh [20:09] substantial um implications there. Uh now whether or not this wouldn't get you [20:12] now whether or not this wouldn't get you [20:12] now whether or not this wouldn't get you know somehow blocked by the US [20:14] know somehow blocked by the US [20:14] know somehow blocked by the US government. Uh we don't know what types [20:16] government. Uh we don't know what types [20:16] government. Uh we don't know what types of chips that are that that they would [20:18] of chips that are that that they would [20:18] of chips that are that that they would be operating. So there's more than one [20:21] be operating. So there's more than one [20:21] be operating. So there's more than one different type of AI chip and uh with [20:24] different type of AI chip and uh with [20:24] different type of AI chip and uh with different capabilities. Um the US allows [20:29] different capabilities. Um the US allows [20:29] different capabilities. Um the US allows um uh Chinese companies to buy certain [20:33] um uh Chinese companies to buy certain [20:33] um uh Chinese companies to buy certain AI chips that are low power, not cutting [20:36] AI chips that are low power, not cutting [20:36] AI chips that are low power, not cutting edge um kind of simple application [20:38] edge um kind of simple application [20:38] edge um kind of simple application stuff. Uh so it'd be interesting to see [20:41] stuff. Uh so it'd be interesting to see [20:41] stuff. Uh so it'd be interesting to see what that actually turns out to be. Um [20:44] what that actually turns out to be. Um [20:44] what that actually turns out to be. Um but but the other kind of implication [20:47] but but the other kind of implication [20:47] but but the other kind of implication here is um you know why is Oracle in a [20:52] here is um you know why is Oracle in a [20:52] here is um you know why is Oracle in a position where they need to sell $7 [20:53] position where they need to sell $7 [20:53] position where they need to sell $7 billion worth of chips or rent $7 [20:55] billion worth of chips or rent $7 [20:55] billion worth of chips or rent $7 billion worth of these chips, right? Um [20:58] billion worth of these chips, right? Um [20:58] billion worth of these chips, right? Um are they uh is do they not have enough [21:02] are they uh is do they not have enough [21:02] are they uh is do they not have enough demand for this? Um is the capacity [21:06] demand for this? Um is the capacity [21:06] demand for this? Um is the capacity uh they have such available capacity [21:09] uh they have such available capacity [21:09] uh they have such available capacity that they could sell this? that that is [21:11] that they could sell this? that that is [21:11] that they could sell this? that that is an interesting implication where if [21:13] an interesting implication where if [21:13] an interesting implication where if we're seeing demand kind of curtail um [21:16] we're seeing demand kind of curtail um [21:16] we're seeing demand kind of curtail um what does that mean for AI? What does [21:19] what does that mean for AI? What does [21:19] what does that mean for AI? What does that mean for the economy broadly? Uh [21:21] that mean for the economy broadly? Uh [21:21] that mean for the economy broadly? Uh it's interesting. It's an interesting [21:23] it's interesting. It's an interesting [21:23] it's interesting. It's an interesting story. Again, we'll continue to track [21:25] story. Again, we'll continue to track [21:25] story. Again, we'll continue to track this as it develops. And I appreciate [21:27] this as it develops. And I appreciate [21:27] this as it develops. And I appreciate your feedback. Hopefully I'm explaining [21:28] your feedback. Hopefully I'm explaining [21:28] your feedback. Hopefully I'm explaining these concepts in a simple enough way [21:30] these concepts in a simple enough way [21:30] these concepts in a simple enough way where it's easy to to understand uh and [21:34] where it's easy to to understand uh and [21:34] where it's easy to to understand uh and easy to um uh make decisions in your [21:37] easy to um uh make decisions in your [21:37] easy to um uh make decisions in your daily life as you look at your [21:39] daily life as you look at your [21:39] daily life as you look at your investment portfolio or you get on your [21:42] investment portfolio or you get on your [21:42] investment portfolio or you get on your phone and are talking to chat JPT and [21:45] phone and are talking to chat JPT and [21:45] phone and are talking to chat JPT and understanding hey is this uh agent on an [21:49] understanding hey is this uh agent on an [21:49] understanding hey is this uh agent on an Oracle uh database or data center [21:53] Oracle uh database or data center [21:53] Oracle uh database or data center someplace out in the world I don't know [21:55] someplace out in the world I don't know [21:56] someplace out in the world I don't know it's interesting to see an interesting [21:57] it's interesting to see an interesting [21:57] it's interesting to see an interesting interesting to track. Uh moving on, uh [22:00] interesting to track. Uh moving on, uh [22:00] interesting to track. Uh moving on, uh we saw on Monday morning SpaceX launched [22:04] we saw on Monday morning SpaceX launched [22:04] we saw on Monday morning SpaceX launched their first orbital mission of their [22:08] their first orbital mission of their [22:08] their first orbital mission of their Starship [22:09] Starship [22:09] Starship uh uh their latest vehicle that they've [22:12] uh uh their latest vehicle that they've [22:12] uh uh their latest vehicle that they've been developing over the past couple [22:13] been developing over the past couple [22:14] been developing over the past couple years. Really exciting to watch that. If [22:16] years. Really exciting to watch that. If [22:16] years. Really exciting to watch that. If you haven't seen it, you should go look [22:17] you haven't seen it, you should go look [22:17] you haven't seen it, you should go look up the video. It's really cool and [22:19] up the video. It's really cool and [22:19] up the video. It's really cool and there's some pretty awesome um uh [22:22] there's some pretty awesome um uh [22:22] there's some pretty awesome um uh pictures as well, too. Um part of that [22:25] pictures as well, too. Um part of that [22:25] pictures as well, too. Um part of that launch, Google uh launched their first [22:29] launch, Google uh launched their first [22:29] launch, Google uh launched their first uh project suncatcher prototype [22:32] uh project suncatcher prototype [22:32] uh project suncatcher prototype satellite that uh went for a ride on [22:35] satellite that uh went for a ride on [22:35] satellite that uh went for a ride on that uh starship and and was launched [22:38] that uh starship and and was launched [22:38] that uh starship and and was launched into orbit on uh Thursday. Uh this is [22:43] into orbit on uh Thursday. Uh this is [22:43] into orbit on uh Thursday. Uh this is carrying Google's own AI chips and [22:46] carrying Google's own AI chips and [22:46] carrying Google's own AI chips and Google says that uh the satellite is [22:50] Google says that uh the satellite is [22:50] Google says that uh the satellite is quote unquote operating as expected. [22:53] quote unquote operating as expected. [22:53] quote unquote operating as expected. Over the coming weeks it'll measure how [22:55] Over the coming weeks it'll measure how [22:55] Over the coming weeks it'll measure how the chips handle launch stress, [22:57] the chips handle launch stress, [22:57] the chips handle launch stress, radiation, and heat. Um this is a really [23:02] radiation, and heat. Um this is a really [23:02] radiation, and heat. Um this is a really interesting and exciting thing. Um you [23:05] interesting and exciting thing. Um you [23:06] interesting and exciting thing. Um you know there's been some push back if you [23:08] know there's been some push back if you [23:08] know there's been some push back if you haven't seen it to data centers and data [23:11] haven't seen it to data centers and data [23:11] haven't seen it to data centers and data center buildout uh terrestrially uh and [23:16] center buildout uh terrestrially uh and [23:16] center buildout uh terrestrially uh and u a lot of people have talked about [23:18] u a lot of people have talked about [23:18] u a lot of people have talked about including Elon Musk um building data [23:20] including Elon Musk um building data [23:20] including Elon Musk um building data centers in space and so this is one of [23:23] centers in space and so this is one of [23:24] centers in space and so this is one of the first um if not the the first big [23:28] the first um if not the the first big [23:28] the first um if not the the first big move to to test that as Google is uh [23:32] move to to test that as Google is uh [23:32] move to to test that as Google is uh testing and measuring how their AI chips [23:34] testing and measuring how their AI chips [23:34] testing and measuring how their AI chips would perform in space. Um, this is the [23:40] would perform in space. Um, this is the [23:40] would perform in space. Um, this is the I guess first realworld test of AI chips [23:44] I guess first realworld test of AI chips [23:44] I guess first realworld test of AI chips running in space. So, this is a big deal [23:47] running in space. So, this is a big deal [23:47] running in space. So, this is a big deal for Google, big deal for SpaceX AI, big [23:51] for Google, big deal for SpaceX AI, big [23:52] for Google, big deal for SpaceX AI, big deal for um, uh, kind of AI in general [23:56] deal for um, uh, kind of AI in general [23:56] deal for um, uh, kind of AI in general as we look at, hey, is this possible? [23:59] as we look at, hey, is this possible? [23:59] as we look at, hey, is this possible? Can we uh build data centers in space [24:03] Can we uh build data centers in space [24:03] Can we uh build data centers in space and what sort of impact would that have? [24:07] and what sort of impact would that have? [24:07] and what sort of impact would that have? This is just a preliminary test. They're [24:09] This is just a preliminary test. They're [24:09] This is just a preliminary test. They're going to do further tests in 2027 where [24:12] going to do further tests in 2027 where [24:12] going to do further tests in 2027 where they begin to link two different [24:14] they begin to link two different [24:14] they begin to link two different satellites and uh test building out a a [24:18] satellites and uh test building out a a [24:18] satellites and uh test building out a a a satellite array. Um this is so this is [24:23] a satellite array. Um this is so this is [24:23] a satellite array. Um this is so this is really an interesting [24:25] really an interesting [24:25] really an interesting um hypothesis that that folks have had [24:27] um hypothesis that that folks have had [24:28] um hypothesis that that folks have had for a little while and people have been [24:29] for a little while and people have been [24:29] for a little while and people have been claiming and disclaiming and uh there's [24:32] claiming and disclaiming and uh there's [24:32] claiming and disclaiming and uh there's been arguments over it whether or not [24:35] been arguments over it whether or not [24:35] been arguments over it whether or not you can put a data center in space and [24:40] you can put a data center in space and [24:40] you can put a data center in space and run it in space uh successfully. And um [24:44] run it in space uh successfully. And um [24:44] run it in space uh successfully. And um the big question or one of the big [24:46] the big question or one of the big [24:46] the big question or one of the big questions is um the the radiation from [24:49] questions is um the the radiation from [24:49] questions is um the the radiation from the sun uh when you're when you're [24:51] the sun uh when you're when you're [24:51] the sun uh when you're when you're orbiting the earth is that going to fry [24:53] orbiting the earth is that going to fry [24:53] orbiting the earth is that going to fry these AI chips essentially. Uh there's [24:56] these AI chips essentially. Uh there's [24:56] these AI chips essentially. Uh there's questions around the vacuum of space and [24:58] questions around the vacuum of space and [24:58] questions around the vacuum of space and heat transfer. Um there's you know you [25:01] heat transfer. Um there's you know you [25:01] heat transfer. Um there's you know you kind of look at the pros. like, hey, you [25:05] kind of look at the pros. like, hey, you [25:05] kind of look at the pros. like, hey, you could put together a bunch of these um [25:08] could put together a bunch of these um [25:08] could put together a bunch of these um uh AI chips, build out these essentially [25:11] uh AI chips, build out these essentially [25:11] uh AI chips, build out these essentially AI servers in space, um deploy solar [25:15] AI servers in space, um deploy solar [25:15] AI servers in space, um deploy solar panels, and have it just sitting facing [25:18] panels, and have it just sitting facing [25:18] panels, and have it just sitting facing the sun 24/7. You're getting free power. [25:22] the sun 24/7. You're getting free power. [25:22] the sun 24/7. You're getting free power. Obviously, on the back side of the [25:25] Obviously, on the back side of the [25:25] Obviously, on the back side of the satellite, you're facing the vacuum of [25:27] satellite, you're facing the vacuum of [25:27] satellite, you're facing the vacuum of space, which is extremely cold. Uh so, [25:30] space, which is extremely cold. Uh so, [25:30] space, which is extremely cold. Uh so, you get free cooling there. Um and then [25:33] you get free cooling there. Um and then [25:33] you get free cooling there. Um and then uh they do have ways to beam uh that [25:37] uh they do have ways to beam uh that [25:37] uh they do have ways to beam uh that technology back down to earth. Obviously [25:39] technology back down to earth. Obviously [25:40] technology back down to earth. Obviously um uh SpaceX has a product called [25:43] um uh SpaceX has a product called [25:43] um uh SpaceX has a product called Starlink which is satellite based [25:45] Starlink which is satellite based [25:45] Starlink which is satellite based internet. Um and so you you would be [25:48] internet. Um and so you you would be [25:48] internet. Um and so you you would be able to essentially run all the AI [25:52] able to essentially run all the AI [25:52] able to essentially run all the AI compute all the machines running our [25:54] compute all the machines running our [25:54] compute all the machines running our favorite AI engines today could be [25:57] favorite AI engines today could be [25:57] favorite AI engines today could be running in space and that'd be really [25:59] running in space and that'd be really [25:59] running in space and that'd be really powerful. Most of that's hypothetical, [26:01] powerful. Most of that's hypothetical, [26:02] powerful. Most of that's hypothetical, right? So, this is the first test and [26:03] right? So, this is the first test and [26:03] right? So, this is the first test and saying, "Okay, can we even just launch [26:06] saying, "Okay, can we even just launch [26:06] saying, "Okay, can we even just launch AI chips to space and and uh get them to [26:09] AI chips to space and and uh get them to [26:09] AI chips to space and and uh get them to work?" And so, Google will be testing [26:11] work?" And so, Google will be testing [26:11] work?" And so, Google will be testing this out. This comes on the heels of the [26:13] this out. This comes on the heels of the [26:13] this out. This comes on the heels of the the Google Gemini or uh yeah, Google [26:16] the Google Gemini or uh yeah, Google [26:16] the Google Gemini or uh yeah, Google Argon 4 announcement uh earlier this [26:19] Argon 4 announcement uh earlier this [26:19] Argon 4 announcement uh earlier this week. So, Google is um they're a [26:23] week. So, Google is um they're a [26:23] week. So, Google is um they're a sleeper. They haven't been doing a lot [26:26] sleeper. They haven't been doing a lot [26:26] sleeper. They haven't been doing a lot uh or or just making a splash in the AI [26:28] uh or or just making a splash in the AI [26:28] uh or or just making a splash in the AI space lately. And then we've got kind of [26:30] space lately. And then we've got kind of [26:30] space lately. And then we've got kind of two big headlines [26:32] two big headlines [26:32] two big headlines uh this week from Google, which is [26:34] uh this week from Google, which is [26:34] uh this week from Google, which is awesome. And then moving on to our final [26:36] awesome. And then moving on to our final [26:36] awesome. And then moving on to our final story, this is uh just an interesting uh [26:39] story, this is uh just an interesting uh [26:40] story, this is uh just an interesting uh perspective. There's a um a website [26:42] perspective. There's a um a website [26:42] perspective. There's a um a website called archive [26:44] called archive [26:44] called archive um spelled in a funny way, but the the [26:47] um spelled in a funny way, but the the [26:47] um spelled in a funny way, but the the um this is kind of the main open archive [26:50] um this is kind of the main open archive [26:50] um this is kind of the main open archive for research papers. Um and u [26:54] for research papers. Um and u [26:54] for research papers. Um and u essentially anybody can publish their [26:57] essentially anybody can publish their [26:57] essentially anybody can publish their research papers on archive u and have [27:01] research papers on archive u and have [27:01] research papers on archive u and have their submissions reviewed by other [27:04] their submissions reviewed by other [27:04] their submissions reviewed by other scientists and researchers professionals [27:06] scientists and researchers professionals [27:06] scientists and researchers professionals that that would be interested in looking [27:08] that that would be interested in looking [27:08] that that would be interested in looking at these research papers and [27:10] at these research papers and [27:10] at these research papers and understanding them. The the problem is [27:13] understanding them. The the problem is [27:13] understanding them. The the problem is in the AI age you can produce a lot of [27:15] in the AI age you can produce a lot of [27:15] in the AI age you can produce a lot of research and um write a lot of papers [27:19] research and um write a lot of papers [27:19] research and um write a lot of papers really fast and so archive um has [27:22] really fast and so archive um has [27:22] really fast and so archive um has limited every author to two submissions [27:25] limited every author to two submissions [27:25] limited every author to two submissions a month uh starting yesterday I guess [27:29] a month uh starting yesterday I guess [27:29] a month uh starting yesterday I guess and um um this is this will be it'll be [27:33] and um um this is this will be it'll be [27:33] and um um this is this will be it'll be interesting to see like were all these [27:35] interesting to see like were all these [27:35] interesting to see like were all these research papers just AI slop um are we [27:39] research papers just AI slop um are we [27:39] research papers just AI slop um are we going to is this um reduction in in [27:42] going to is this um reduction in in [27:42] going to is this um reduction in in submissions going to enable us to see [27:45] submissions going to enable us to see [27:45] submissions going to enable us to see kind of the best of the best [27:47] kind of the best of the best [27:47] kind of the best of the best submissions. Uh we'll have to track this [27:49] submissions. Uh we'll have to track this [27:49] submissions. Uh we'll have to track this as it develops. Um I think it is uh you [27:53] as it develops. Um I think it is uh you [27:53] as it develops. Um I think it is uh you know one thing in terms of uh uh the AI [27:57] know one thing in terms of uh uh the AI [27:57] know one thing in terms of uh uh the AI production and being able to produce [27:59] production and being able to produce [27:59] production and being able to produce more and more and more is is exciting, [28:01] more and more and more is is exciting, [28:01] more and more and more is is exciting, but how much of that are we um is it [28:04] but how much of that are we um is it [28:04] but how much of that are we um is it just trash? It's just not not good, not [28:07] just trash? It's just not not good, not [28:07] just trash? It's just not not good, not high quality. Uh and so it'll be [28:10] high quality. Uh and so it'll be [28:10] high quality. Uh and so it'll be interesting to see if we have um uh more [28:16] interesting to see if we have um uh more [28:16] interesting to see if we have um uh more uh groups like this put limitations on [28:20] uh groups like this put limitations on [28:20] uh groups like this put limitations on open submissions uh and understanding uh [28:24] open submissions uh and understanding uh [28:24] open submissions uh and understanding uh what kind of uh these caps would um what [28:28] what kind of uh these caps would um what [28:28] what kind of uh these caps would um what kind of impact these caps would have on [28:30] kind of impact these caps would have on [28:30] kind of impact these caps would have on research which is really interesting. [28:31] research which is really interesting. [28:31] research which is really interesting. But then we look at um a lot of um [28:35] But then we look at um a lot of um [28:35] But then we look at um a lot of um development tools. Um previously when [28:38] development tools. Um previously when [28:38] development tools. Um previously when you had human developers, they could [28:40] you had human developers, they could [28:40] you had human developers, they could only do a limited amount of uh work and [28:43] only do a limited amount of uh work and [28:43] only do a limited amount of uh work and only submit a little limited amount of [28:46] only submit a little limited amount of [28:46] only submit a little limited amount of um um uh just submissions for code [28:50] um um uh just submissions for code [28:50] um um uh just submissions for code review and whatnot. Uh and uh and now in [28:53] review and whatnot. Uh and uh and now in [28:53] review and whatnot. Uh and uh and now in the age of AI, it's 10x or 100x what it [28:57] the age of AI, it's 10x or 100x what it [28:57] the age of AI, it's 10x or 100x what it used to be. And so, um, I wonder, you [28:59] used to be. And so, um, I wonder, you [28:59] used to be. And so, um, I wonder, you know, there's going to be, um, other, [29:03] know, there's going to be, um, other, [29:03] know, there's going to be, um, other, um, entities that put similar rate [29:05] um, entities that put similar rate [29:06] um, entities that put similar rate limits on, uh, their products and and [29:09] limits on, uh, their products and and [29:09] limits on, uh, their products and and how people interact with it. And I [29:11] how people interact with it. And I [29:11] how people interact with it. And I think, you know, you can play this tape [29:14] think, you know, you can play this tape [29:14] think, you know, you can play this tape forward a little bit and say, okay, [29:17] forward a little bit and say, okay, [29:17] forward a little bit and say, okay, well, what does that look like for um, [29:20] well, what does that look like for um, [29:20] well, what does that look like for um, social media, right? We see tons of AI [29:24] social media, right? We see tons of AI [29:24] social media, right? We see tons of AI slop and just AI produced material on [29:28] slop and just AI produced material on [29:28] slop and just AI produced material on social media. Um, is that uh are those [29:31] social media. Um, is that uh are those [29:32] social media. Um, is that uh are those bot accounts just running crazy AI? [29:35] bot accounts just running crazy AI? [29:35] bot accounts just running crazy AI? Sometimes yes, but not all the time. A [29:37] Sometimes yes, but not all the time. A [29:37] Sometimes yes, but not all the time. A lot of the time it's just people [29:38] lot of the time it's just people [29:38] lot of the time it's just people creating um infinite AI [29:42] creating um infinite AI [29:42] creating um infinite AI uh media and and putting that out. And [29:45] uh media and and putting that out. And [29:45] uh media and and putting that out. And so um you know, and I love talking about [29:48] so um you know, and I love talking about [29:48] so um you know, and I love talking about this. I think it's really interesting. [29:50] this. I think it's really interesting. [29:50] this. I think it's really interesting. Um it's difficult because AI can produce [29:54] Um it's difficult because AI can produce [29:54] Um it's difficult because AI can produce some really good content, some really [29:56] some really good content, some really [29:56] some really good content, some really quality [29:57] quality [29:57] quality uh material. [30:00] uh material. [30:00] uh material. The thing is at this point and um [30:04] The thing is at this point and um [30:04] The thing is at this point and um probably [30:06] probably [30:06] probably for a decent period into the future um [30:10] for a decent period into the future um [30:10] for a decent period into the future um humans will be able to easily recognize [30:13] humans will be able to easily recognize [30:13] humans will be able to easily recognize and see what is AI and what is human [30:16] and see what is AI and what is human [30:16] and see what is AI and what is human created. um the the the um- which puts [30:20] created. um the the the um- which puts [30:20] created. um the the the um- which puts more value in my opinion on human [30:22] more value in my opinion on human [30:22] more value in my opinion on human created content, right? Um, we love the [30:26] created content, right? Um, we love the [30:26] created content, right? Um, we love the idiosyncrasies of humans and and how [30:29] idiosyncrasies of humans and and how [30:29] idiosyncrasies of humans and and how humans are imperfect and how humans [30:32] humans are imperfect and how humans [30:32] humans are imperfect and how humans create and um it's really hard for [30:36] create and um it's really hard for [30:36] create and um it's really hard for computers to bottle that up and uh [30:39] computers to bottle that up and uh [30:40] computers to bottle that up and uh reproduce that because computers need uh [30:43] reproduce that because computers need uh [30:43] reproduce that because computers need uh to have um really like un understandable [30:47] to have um really like un understandable [30:47] to have um really like un understandable structure to work off of. Um and so [30:50] structure to work off of. Um and so [30:50] structure to work off of. Um and so that's why you see kind of the AI slop [30:52] that's why you see kind of the AI slop [30:52] that's why you see kind of the AI slop pattern. Uh so anyways, it'll be [30:54] pattern. Uh so anyways, it'll be [30:54] pattern. Uh so anyways, it'll be interesting to see do other platforms [30:56] interesting to see do other platforms [30:56] interesting to see do other platforms limit the number of submiss submissions [30:59] limit the number of submiss submissions [30:59] limit the number of submiss submissions that humans can make because they're [31:01] that humans can make because they're [31:01] that humans can make because they're making uh such high volume of AI created [31:06] making uh such high volume of AI created [31:06] making uh such high volume of AI created content. Do we see new platforms that [31:09] content. Do we see new platforms that [31:09] content. Do we see new platforms that pop up that are human only? No AI. Um, [31:13] pop up that are human only? No AI. Um, [31:13] pop up that are human only? No AI. Um, there's cool tools out there. If you [31:15] there's cool tools out there. If you [31:15] there's cool tools out there. If you haven't seen, there's a a tool called [31:17] haven't seen, there's a a tool called [31:17] haven't seen, there's a a tool called Pang Gra uh that will read um you can [31:22] Pang Gra uh that will read um you can [31:22] Pang Gra uh that will read um you can give it any text and it'll tell you [31:24] give it any text and it'll tell you [31:24] give it any text and it'll tell you whether or not it's AI produced. Um and [31:28] whether or not it's AI produced. Um and [31:28] whether or not it's AI produced.
